Have you ever found yourself saying things like; trust God,it will all be ok, pray about it, take one day at a time, or our family favorite if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all?

We manage to give advice but can we take it? There are many times as we go about our busy days where we can get caught up in the world. Where we feel overwhelmed and drained. What do you do when that happens? Do you take the advice you give others, or do you continue to hold on to the frustration?

School has started and all week I have been telling my kids to trust God, to hand over their fears and to know that no matter what, God is there for them. Yet I find myself not taking my own advice.

If you read the bible, Jesus give a lot of advice to people on how to live, but Jesus didn't just give the advice, He lived it. He led by example.

It's time to take our own advice! Next time you hear yourself encouraging others to do the right thing, take the lead.

The verse that the kids learned in Sunday school this week was; 1 Peter 5-7 Give all your cares and worries to God, For He cares for you.

Lets all give our worries to God, because He really does care for each of us!

I find myself in that very situation more times than I'd like to admit! It seems like our children are more capable of the "practice what you preach" motto than adults are. Is is because they are children and their ways of thinking and behaviors aren't jaded by this world we live in? Is it because they are more capable of being honest that most adults? I find if I can become more child-like in my faith, I become more Christ-like. When I look into the eyes of my younger children I often feel Jesus touching my soul through them. As I watch my older child growing up and moving closer to adult-hood, I see how the world affects our behaviors and ways of thinking and how much harder it is for us to emulate Christ. In Mark 10:14-15, Jesus said to his disciples: "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kindom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kindom of God like a child will never enter it."

When I read what Jesus said to his disciples is these verses, it makes me feel like he's talking right to me. Oh yeah, he is!
